Aaruni 2019

Aaruni 2019, the official fresher’s party of the newly admitted first year students marked its beginning on 22nd September 2019. This year’s theme was “THE MYSTIC CHAOS”. The event went on for a week; the whole week consisted of a plethora of group, class as well as individual activities and competitions.

The first day of the 6-day event was Happy Hours! SRC along with Team Aaruni organized inter-class sports competitions for sports like volleyball, throw ball, football, basketball among others. The amazing competitive spirit was seen among the students for their respective sections. Students of each and every class were seen following certain dress codes like bands, caps etc. Once all the sports activities were held, students gathered in the Open Air Theatre for a surprise prepared for them by the students of Dance, Drama and Music club. The three clubs performed with such a high level of energy that it made all the tiredness of the day fade away. On this note, the day came to an end.

The following day, Impera i.e. the personality contest for the titles of Mr Impera and Ms Impera began. The contest took part in five rounds. The first round was the ‘Paper round’ wherein every participant had to answer a question paper based on his/her opinion. The second and third rounds were the Aptitude test and Group Discussion which tested their general awareness. The fourth round was a surprise one. This year students were told to sell a product or take part in an extempore. The students who cleared all these rounds made their way to the Personal Interview session which was scheduled on 26th September. After all these grilling rounds three girls and three boys were selected for the final round that was the Stage round that had taken place on 27th September. Judges were invited for the final round. Hon. General Secretary, RCOEM Shri. Govindlalji Agarwal and Principal Dr. Rajesh Pande graced the event by their presence.

Apart from these daily contests, to ensure the participation of each and every student, daily tasks were given to each class. Maximum participation and enthusiasm of the students during all the planned activities filled the atmosphere with joy. These tasks were then judged and points were granted accordingly to every section. These points were then summed up to find the winner of the Best Section Prize.
